DOLOTHEGIFTED was born and raised in Angola and migrated to Canada as a refugee. Growing up as an athlete he took up dancing, and was part of Ottawa dance group Dy-Verse. During his journey in acting in Los Angeles and Toronto, DOLO ventured into music which brought him back to Canada.

DOLOTHEGIFTED performs in four languages: Portuguese, Spanish, English, and French. His music blends hip hop, with afrobeats, drill, and influences from his spoken languages. He’s influenced by artists including: Cesaria Evora, Michael Jackson, DMX, Bob Marley, Kanye west, Burna Boy, and Davido.
